Trillion Trees
Trillion Trees
TRILLION TREES is a prayer for the healing and renewal of our planet. As a child, I loved being outdoors in nature. Now, when I see trees being cut down needlessly, I quietly apologize to Nature on behalf of humanity and ask for Divine Grace to protect and restore our world.
The greens honor the forests and the living trees who sustain us.
The blues cherish our sacred waters.
And the yellow represents optimism and living light, reminding us to remain open to Grace.
As the NY/NJ Coordinator for “Embracing the Trees,” within Amma’s global humanitarian initiative Embracing the World (in partnership with the United Nations), I am part of the campaign to plant one trillion trees worldwide. This artwork carries that prayer and commitment.
